1807 – Siege of Copenhagen

1858 - 43rd - engaged at Sahao (Indian Mutiny).

1899 –1st Bn Oxf LI – Left Mullingar and proceeded via Dublin Holyhead Chester Shrewsbury and Bristol to Devonport.

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
Bathing.
Working Parties both Brigade and Regimental on Village and Support Lines etc and in Brigade Carrying Parties.
Casualties – Wounded (gas) = 4

1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – ROAD CAMP ST JAN TER BIEZEN.
Training carried out as per Programme.
Hostile aeroplanes dropped numbers of bombs between 10pm & 1am. NO damage done.
Ration Strength 7 Officers 588 OR

1809 - The Light Division, on the left bank of the Tagus, near Almaraz, engaged with the French and covered the march of the rest of the Army along the right bank.

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
The Regiment was relieved by 2/HLI and moved into Support occupying the Braddell Point Headquarters which were still in course of construction:
A Coy North of Canal
D Coy Inside Left Company with Headquarters in Old Brigade Headquarters near Woburn Abbey.
C Coy Inside Right Company with Headquarters at Junction of Village Line with Mountain Lane.
B Coy Right Company with Headquarters in Braddell Castle.

1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – ROAD CAMP ST JAN TER BIEZEN.
Training carried out as per Programme (see 3rd Sept)
Chaplain & 25 OR, mostly NCOs sent to seaside by lorry, starting from camp at 7am, returned about 8pm.
Following Officers went to special course at XVIII Corps VOLKERINCHOVE –
CAPTs G R CROUCH, J B HALES, H J PULLMAN,
LTs J E FIRMINGER, H J H NEWTON,
2/LTs F G VAUGHAN, B C RIGDEN, P A MORFEY.
This left only 7 Officers with battn incl of MO & TO.
Ration Strength 7 Officers 757 OR

1920 – A Series of Army Numbers (from 537401 to 542900) to replace Regimental Numbers.

1822 – 43rd – Left Ireland for Gibraltar.

1901 – 2nd Bn Oxf LI – 947 new rifles (Lee Enfield Mark 1*) received for re-armament of the Regiment to replace the Lee-Metford Mark 1* issued in 1893.

1916 - 6th Bn Oxf & Bucks LI - heavily engaged Battle of Guillemont (Somme);

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
D Company carried out a 10 miles route march with the Buglers from Le Preol.
20th battalion CEP took over the line, in Centre of Brigade Front from the Bethune La Bassee Road to the Canal both exclusive.

1857 - 52nd - engaged besieging Delhi; over 200 men in hospital.

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
One Company 2/HLI relieved A Company in the Old Kent Area and A Coy withdrew on relief to the Village Line with Headquarters in Shaws Cut.

1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – ROAD CAMP ST JAN TER BIEZEN.
Sunday. Bde parade service at 10.30am on ground just NORTH of Camp.
Before Service Brig Gen Cdg (D.M. WATTS DSO) presented Military Medal ribbon to the following for Bravery & Devotion to duty on 16th August 1917:-

1917 – 5th (S) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – Into the Trenches (Ypres).

1944 – 2nd (AB) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – Normandy:-
Embarked from the Mulberry harbour for home with thoughts of leave in our minds.
During the advance to the River Seine the Regiment suffered the following casualties:
Killed: 1 officer and 5 soldiers. Wounded: 42 soldiers.

1807 – 52nd - Danish Expedition, 2nd Bn. 52nd engaged in the siege of Copenhagen.

1883 – 2nd Bn Oxf LI – The New Equipment, consisting of a valise in which the great coat is packed, was issued to the Regiment.

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
The Regiment was holding the Right Battalion front of the canal (or Centre) Section of the 2nd Divisional Front with A Coy in the area Posts 15-21 with Headquarters in Old Kent Tunnel, B Coy next on its right including the Mill Defences with Headquarters at the Junction of the Lane with Town Reserve Trench and C Coy thence to No7 a Ipswich Post inclusive. D Coy had withdrawn to billets in Le Preol on relief by A coy on the night 31 Aug/1 Sept taking its attached Portuguese Platoon (of No4 Coy 20th Battalion) with it.
6PM. The 1st period of attachment of No4 Company, 20th battalion CEP officially ended and this unit was returned to its billets in Beuvry.

1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – ROAD CAMP ST JAN TER BIEZEN.
Baths for 250 men during morning at HOUTERQUE.
Coys at disposal of OC Coys for 2 hours collective training.

1917 – 1/4th (TF) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – At ST JAN TER BIEZEN (Ypres)

1917 – 5th (S) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – To NEUVE EGLISE area.

1917 – 7th (S) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – To SMOL HILL on relief. (Salonika).

1944 – 2nd (AB) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – Normandy
Move started to the beaches - marching to start with, as the troop-carrying transport failed to materialize.
The night of the 1st September was spent at a transit camp at Ryes.
