HAMMINKELN BATTLEFIELD VISIT


Below are some photos that I took on my first visit to Hamminkeln in 2007 and my third visit in 2013.

Area HQ - Hamminkeln Station. The original buildings served as a HQ and Dressing Station. Photo 2007

Area HQ - A short walk from the station can be found this memorial put in place on the 50th Anniversary and is on the site where the regiment originally buried its dead. They were removed to the Reichswald War Cemetery post war. Photo 2007
