1. The Dress Regulations for Officers is forwarded for necessary action.
2. All Officers will ensure that they are properly dressed by the Battalion Rifle Meeting on 17 Sep 60.

6. Dress in Battledress
(a) The BD issue blouse and trousers will be worn. Blouses should be so tailored as to have no overhang at the front, and should fit the chest snugly.
(b) A shirt from the Regimental shirtmaker of a light brown material in Green Jackets style will be worn on all parades.
(c) A tie of identical material as the shirt will be worn. It can be obtained from the Regtl Shirtmaker,
Tunic.
(d) All exposed buttons will be black of the type known as "Button, Rifle Horn, small",
(e) A single gorget cord will be worn on each lapel, 2 1/2 inches long, and at the top end a button of bronze bearing the Regtl crest and name.
(f) On the arms of the tunic immediately below the epaulettes, the titles "Green Jackets” in red on a green background will be worn.
(g) On the epaulettes a bugle with the letters "Oxf Bucks" will be worn furtherest away from the epaulette button, mouthpieces to the front.
(h) Badges of rank will be worn and will be of black metal, stars measuring 7/16" across and crowns 1/2" x 7/16".
(j) On the chest between two breast pockets a black leather Whistle strap will be worn. It will have a black "Button rifle Horn small" in its centre.
Decorations.
(k) Decorations and medal ribbons will be worn on the left breast immediately above the pocket, as applicable.
Head dress.
(a)The Light Infty green beret as issued to the soldier will be worn.
(b) When not on parade with troops, a green fore and aft cap can be worn.
(c) Peaked caps will not be worn.
Waist belts.
(a) The web waist belt of the '37 pattern will be worn.
(b) No alterations in its design is allowed.
(c) Buckles at the rear will be the normal issue pattern,
(d) On drill nights stable belts may be worn, instead of web belts, when equipment is not required.
Trousers and Footwear
(a) No alteration from the sealed pattern of BD trousers will be made except the wearing of black buttons.
(b) Shoes, when worn, will be of black leather, and black socks will be worn.
(c) Black boots and issue anklets will be worn. In the event of the anklet straps being leather, they will be dyed and polished black.
7. Shirt Sleeve Order.
(a) The shirt will be of the type issued to ORs with all the buttons of the black "Button Rifle Horn cap small" type.
(b) The collar will be neatly pressed back, the top most button being opened.
(c) The sleeves will be folded to be four fingers width. The lowest part of the fold to be four fingers above the point of the elbow.
(d) On the chest between the pockets a black leather whistle strap and button will be worn (vide para 6 (i)).
(e) On the epaulettes silver bugles will not be worn.
(f) Badges of rank will be as laid down in para 6 (h).
(g) Decoration and medals will not be worn in shirt sleeve order.
Head dress. As for Battle dress.
Waist belts. As for Battle dress.
Trousers & Footwear. As for Battle dress.
8. No 1 Dress
(a) No 1 Dress will be worn as at present, but alterations to the buttons, epaulettes and badges of rank will be made later.
(b) No alterations will be made until the matter is finally decided.
(c) Officers should wear No 1 Dress as often as possible, particularly on drill nights.
9. Mess Kit.
(a) Mess kit will be worn on all dinner and guest nights, and whenever a Ball or similar function is being held.
(b) It is of the same pattern as worn by the 1st Green Jackets, 43rd & 52nd, prior to their change to black and green.
Jacket.
(c) This will be scarlet with red silk lapels, and sleeves will have a white cuff with four brass regimental buttons concealed inside the fold.
(d) Badges of rank will be of gold thread and will be 7/16" across for stars and 1/2" x 7/16" for crowns.
(e) The shirt will be a stiff fronted marcella one, with stiff wing collar. Studs will be worn with the shirt. The tie will be white.
(f) The waistcoat will be soft white Marcella with four covered cloth white buttons at the front.
(g) Decorations and medals will be miniature, and worn one inch below the left wing of the tie on the lapel of the jacket.
Head dress
(h) In the event of Head dress being required, the fore and aft cap will be worn, or a peaked green and black No 1 dress cap. Berets will not be worn.
Trousers and Footwear.
(j) The trousers worn will be the No 1 Dress trousers, of dark blue with a green stripe down the outsides of each leg, over the seam.
(k) Black shoes and socks will be worn.
10. Service Dress
(a) Service dress will now cease to be the best dress of the Battalion. It may be worn up till the time that a decision has been made about No 1 Dress.
(b) Its-pattern will not alter in anyway.
11. Greatcoats.
(a) Greatcoats will be of the ORs issue pattern, shortened to be 3 ins below the knee.
It will be tailored to fit properly and no undue lagginess should be obvious at the back.
(b) The buttons will be of the black "Button Rifle Horn large" type.
(c) Black badges of rank as for BD will be worn.
(d) No shoulder titles will be worn.
12. Regimental Belt.
All fittings will be changed to silver. The belt will be the darkest brown possible.
