Before leaving 4 Russian M.G’s and 4 Russian L.G’s were handed over to the Shankhursk Scouts by order of Dvina Force.
March was carried out by the river road.
Several places had to be improved before the guns and transport could get across.
About halfway news was received that the Bolos had entered UST VAGA.
Shenkhursk Scouts retired on ZAKIMOVSKAYA and BERESNIK.
Advanced guard reached BERESNIK at 1100 hrs, Embarkation commenced 1200 hrs and was completed by 1345, the whole Vaga Column embarking on one barge the ENNESSEE.
Ration Strength: 21 Officers 543 OR. Casualties: 1 OR to Hospital – Sick.
1958 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
2nd Lieut, H. I. Sutherland and 16 ORs of N.S. Group 5619 left the Regiment for National Service Release.
1959 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – JELLALABAD BKS, TIDWORTH
The Regiment lost a football match against the Queen's Own Hussars by 4—2.
1963 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –BRUNEI.
Malaysia Day. All remained quiet and there were no incidents.
Lieut. N. J. R. Sale promoted Temporary Captain.
1964 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – BORNEO.
Colonel H. D. G. Butler, Brigade Colonel, The Green Jackets Brigade, arrived for a short visit to the Regiment.
1965 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – MONTGOMERY BKS, BERLIN.
Lieut.-Colonel D. G. House, o.b.e., m.c., said "Farewell" to the Regiment.
The Command of the Regiment passed from Lieut.-Colonel D. G, House, o.b.e., m.c., to Lieut.-Colonel O. G. Pratt.
