1857 – 52nd – took part in severe street fighting in Delhi.
1916 - 5th (S) Bn OXF & BUCKS LI - present at GUEDECOURT - Battle of Flers-Courcellette;(Somme)
1919 –1st Bn, OXF & BUCKS LI – NORTH RUSSIA.
0130 - Wire received from Dvina Force that move will take place today as ordered.
All concerned informed.
0630 - “C” Coy, Hd. Qrs. and one platoon marched down to take over UST VAGA.
0835 - R.E’s marched from prisoners cage opposite SELTSO as Advance Guard to VAGA Column.
0930 - “B” Coy. (rearguard) left Canadian Village.
1800 - Column reached UST VAGA. 2 platoons 46th R.F. and 1 platoon marched for BERESNIK.
The column went into billets at UST VAGA.
“A” Coy. took over perimeter defences.
The night passed without incident.
One gunner accidentally wounded at MALA BERESNIK died during the night and was buried at 4.30 on Tuesday morning in the British Cemetery.
(N.B. On withdrawal the bridges at Scott’s post and Verkni Konetz the two main bridges on the Ignatovshaza-UST VAGA Road were destroyed.
All boats were destroyed and booby traps laid about in the woods.

Classes for 1st Class Education Certificates commenced : about 20 Candidates.
2nd Lieut. P. T. Sears for dispersal.
1951 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
Lieut.-Colonel M. Darell-Brown, D.S.O., arrived in the Empress of Australia to Command the Regiment.
2nd Lieuts. K. A. How and Margetson joined the Regiment.
Lieut. W. S. B. Rawlings returned from a course at the Support Weapons Wing in U.K.
1955 – 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) - General Sir Bernard Paget GCB, DSO, MC, handed over Colonelcy of the Regiment to Major General Sir John Winterton KCB, KCMG, CBE.
1958 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
News was received that Lieut-Colonel M. N. Harbottle will succeed to command in the summer of 1959.
1963 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –BRUNEI.
Captain Haines flew out and located Sjt Hickmott's patrol and dropped rations to them.
