1900 - Code wire received from DVINA Force that move will not take place unless further orders received.
1939 – 4th (TA) Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – OXFORD - NEWBURY
The Battalion left its peace station on the 14th September at 0800 hrs. and moved to the concentration area south of Newbury.
The distribution of the Battalion in the area was;
Battalion Headquarters and H.Q. Company: Burley House, a large empty house with plenty of out-buildings.
A Company: Harwood Stud Farm.
B Company: Woolton House.
C Company: Battledene Wash Common (nearly three miles from Battalion headquarters).
D Company: Tile Barn.
All the houses except Battledene were in Woolton Hill village and by midday all were settled in, and work was started on improvements to the accommodation which was much handicapped by the total absence of R.E. stores.
Before the Battalion left Oxford all duties, such as the guard at divisional headquarters, were taken over by the 5th Battalion.
1947 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – LIVERPOOL – OXFORD.
Battalion disembarks at Liverpool.
Battalion met on arrival at Oxford Station by General Paget and representative officers.
1957 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
On the anniversary of the Storming of the Cashmere Gate, a Tattoo, organized by Captain W. S. C. Chevis, was held on the Sports Track.
There was a special luncheon with free beer and the day was a holiday.
1959 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – JELLALABAD BKS, TIDWORTH
The Regiment played 30 Signals Regiment at football and won 4—2.
1960 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –KNOOK CAMP, WARMINSTER.
The Regiment arrived home again.
1962 - 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – MINDEN BKS, PENANG, MALAYA.
Colonel Scott, U.S. Army, visited the Regiment.
1963 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –BRUNEI.
Two patrols of the recce platoon, led by Sjt Hickmott and Cpl Sanders reported that they were unable to reach their R.V. at Lepu Leju on the Sungei Baram and that both patrols were out of rations.
A successful airdrop was made to Cpl Sanders but Sjt Hickmott's patrol was not located.
