1759 - 43rd - took part in the Battle of Quebec.
1919 –1st Bn, OXF & BUCKS LI – NORTH RUSSIA.
0230 - Large bolo patrols reported round MALA BERESNIK and some enemy creeping round wire W of the Pimple.
Fire opened with M.G’s & T.M’s into the forest and groans and shrieks heard.
0630 - Bolo commenced shelling MALA BERESNIK with one battery 3-inch guns and continued till 1800 hrs.
During the day number of bolos were seen from Hale’s post left bank to be moving towards NIJNI KITSA these seen later by NINJI KITSA and 3 knocked over by M.G’s.
1815 - 125 bolos (1 Coy of 161st Regt.) surrendered at N. KITSA Bolos plan was to attack MALA BERESNIK with 2 Bns. Of 160th Regt. and NINJI KITSA with 2 Bns. 161st Regt. Both attacks fell through.
1919 –2nd Bn, OXF & BUCKS LI – CORK, IRELAND.
Captain E. N. C. Woollerton for dispersal.
2nd Lieut. J. S. Forbes arrived and was attached to C Company.
1939 – 4th (TA) Bn OXF & BUCKS LI -
By the 13th September the full scale of anti-tank rifles had arrived and the carrier platoon had now three carriers.
Transport was still very short, and it was necessary to order back the trucks which had taken the advanced party to the concentration area in order to convey the cooks when the Battalion finally moved on the 14th September.

1946 – 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – AUSTRIA.
Main Body arrived at Treviso.
Advance Party left for Trieste.
1956 – 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) - CYPRUS
The Regiment was stood to and all available men despatched to take part in a cordon and search operation following the escape of 7 detainees from Camp K.
The Regiment took over the duties of the Nicosia Area Reserve battalion and was almost entirely committed on guards and escort duties.
1960 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –OTTERBURN.
The Regiment left Otterburn Camp on a Regimental Road Movement Exercise.
The night was spent at the Dukeries training area, outside Nottingham.
