1914 - 1st Bn Oxf & Bucks LI at Ahmednagar received orders to mobilize.
1918 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – VAUX-VRACOURT.
10AM – Advance parties sent to take over the stores etc from 23rd Royal Fusiliers and to arrange for the following dispositions .
Front Line Left Front - C Coy & 2 Platoons A Coy.
Front Line Right Front - D Coy
Support - B Coy + Coy HQ & 2 Platoons A Coy.
Reserve - A Coy 24th Royal Fusiliers.
The Regiment moved from bivouacs at 7.30PM in order C+2 Pltns A Coy, D Coy, A Coy less 2 Pltns, B Coy, Regtl HQrs, A Coy 24th RF. 200 yards between platoons, 200 yards between Companies.
The leading company reached regimental Headquarters 23rd Royal Fusiliers at 9PM but owing to it being a very dark night and the guides not knowing the area well, the relief was not completed until 2.30AM 9th.
During the morning information was received that preparations were to be made by the Regiment for a minor operation to be done on the 10th.
The relief of the 23rd Royal Fusiliers was carried out without any casualties.
1918 –1/1stBuckinghamshire Battalion – S SISTO.
Fairly Quiet Day.
Following Officers rejoined the Battalion:-

2nd LIEUT ELLWOOD (MUSKETRY COURSE).
The following temporary cross-postings took place:-

2nd LIEUT COWLISHAW to B Coy
2nd LIEUT READ to C Coy.
No Patrols sent out – Front was again patrolled by OXFORDS.
Ration Strength: 21 Officers 514 OR. Casualties: NIL.
1928 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – (India)- Army Order 139/1928 reviving the original title of Bugle Major instead of Serjeant Bugler was published in Regimental Orders.
1943 – 7th Bn Oxf & Bucks LI took part in SALERNO landings.
