1939 – 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – COLCHESTER.
The first air-raid warning was sounded just after Reveille about the 7th.
This involved everyone standing still while sounds of our fighters were heard.
The alert went on for two or three hours and badly interfered with the officers' breakfasts.
1959 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – JELLALABAD BKS, TIDWORTH

1960 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –OTTERBURN.
Brigadier J. A. J. Read, C.B.E., D.S.O., M.C., arrived to spend two days with the Regiment. He watched Regimental training and addressed all officers, W.O's, Sjts and Corporals.
1963 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) –BRUNEI.
Three patrols of the recce platoon led by Captain Letts, Sjt Hickmott and Cpl Sanders flew to Long Akah to operate in the Indonesian Border area.
