1915 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – PLOEGSTEERT WOOD
Enemy exploded small mine 7am South of BIRDCAGE outside our trenches doing no damage at same time opening fire with MGs, Trench Mortars & Guns.
Quiet Day afterwards.
Heavy rain started 5.30am & prevented all observation of mine explosion, also made all telephone communication with Coys bad.
