1839 - The 52nd - at Barbados, suffered much from an epidemic of yellow fever.
1914 - 1st Bn Oxf & Bucks LI reached Camp Magil, above Basra, and disembarked. (Mesopatamia)
1916 –2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – FONTAINE-SUR-MAYE.
66th Reinforcement – 87 Rank and File joined for Duty.
1916 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – TRENCHES N of LE SARS
Battn in Trenches. –
Occasional shelling of Front Line Coy HQrs and Left Support Coy HQs.
Patrol consisting of LT NEAVE & 3 OR left CHALK PIT at 1.15am & returned at 2.30am.
Large enemy patrol was seen patrolling his own front line.
Enemy aeroplane flew up and down the Front Line fairly low and made occasional dashes across our lines.
They were fired on by our Lewis Guns.
