On this day 3rd September:-
1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI -TO BILLETS AT LE QUESNOY
In the afternoon the Regiment moved to billets at LE QUESNOY in relief of 2\Royal Scots Fusiliers (21st Brigade). A very wet day. The new waterproof cape was of great benefit to the men.
1915– 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – HEBUTERNE
Intermittent shelling all day.
1916 - Battle of Guillemont (Somme); 6th Bn Oxf & Bucks LI. heavily engaged.
