Lieutenant F S Parsons, proceeded to Bermicourt to join C Battalion Heavy Branch Machine Gun Corps.
Lieutenant E H Whitfield M.C. proceeded to Headquarters 5th Infantry Brigade for attachment.
Lieutenant H W Spurge took over Command of B Company and Lieutenant D T Baines of D Company.

On the 3rd orders were given for an attack on enemy positions in the Bois de la Rochette (324816) and the Bois des Spiroux (326820). The weather was very cold with about six inches of snow and woods dense.
