1809 - The Army marched from Talavera to Oropesa; a trying march, owing to the heat and want of water.
1914 – The Buckinghamshire Battalion (TF):-
At annual camp near Marlow were roused in the early hours of the morning and ordered to report back to their home drill stations and await orders.
1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI -ANNEQUIN.
Information received that Major G N COLVILLE DSO has been appointed to Command 7th Battalion Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry with effect from 27th July.
Companies exercised daily in Musketry, Drills and Physical Training.
