1810 - The Light Division retiring on Torres Vedras, reached Pombal
1916 –2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – SARTON.
The Regiment paraded, so as to pass the starting-point (H.18.a.30) at 10.33 a.m., and marched to BUS-LES-ARTOIS. A very wet march succeeded by our arrival in huts left with their latrines, in the most disgusting condition by the last occupants, whoever they be.
Wet night.
