1825 – 52nd - Lieut -Colonel James Fergusson appointed to the command of the 52nd, vice Sir John, Colborne, promoted.
1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – WILLERVAL.

1917 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – RESERVE.
Battn In Reserve. – Companies on Company Training.
At 3.30pm the BRIGADIER GENERAL inspected the OFFICERS in the following- FIGHTING DRESS – BOOKS – SALUTING – WIRING.
The Commanding Officer went to AUXI LE CHATEAU to witness demonstration in TACTICAL MANOEVRES.
Weather: Fine and Warm.
Ration Strength: 22 Officers 603 OR.

The Regimental detachment lined part of the route in Hyde Park and the Colour Party and Escort marched in procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.
