1886 – 1st Bn Oxf LI – Left Egypt for India.
1886 – 2nd Bn Oxf LI – Battalion paraded at 4.15am and left for Suez embarking on H.M.T Jumna for conveyance to India.
1916 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – HERSIN Q.5.
9.30am - Regiment marched 1 ½ miles to HOUDAIN station where with 2/H.L.I. it proceeded by train to HERSIN (50 minutes journey).
Billeted in the Convent School-very good quarters.
400 men on fatigue this night, making and improving 2nd Line in ANGRES section.
Captain R M OWEN proceeded to 2nd Divisional School at PERNES.

Battalion in Trenches.
Rather more shelling in morning.
8 casualties in FT 10/4 from 5.9 shell. 3 Killed, 5 Wounded.
1918 - 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI heavily engaged with enemy in Aveluy Wood.
1945 - 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – BRAMBERGHOF to RHADE
0730 - Left BRAMBERGHOF. 5 Para Brigade ahead of us, meeting slight opposition. After delay caused by further traffic complications arrived at RHADE 454508 where the Regiment spent the night. The town was subjected to considerable air-burst fire at intervals during the night. No casualties.
