At 3.55am 59th DIVN on Right attacked railway & Quarry in L5d took COLOGNE FARM as 2nd objective.
48th DIVN artillery cooperated by simulating attack on MARKOFF FARM.
Result – Both objectives reached but counter attack drove us out of COLOGNE FARM.
Quiet day.
Between 8pm & 9pm enemy appeared sending up many rockets mostly Red & putting down barrage on Sunken Road (F11d) & valley at SART FARM (F11c).
Work during night-joining up section trenches & making new cruciform posts.
A Coy relieved D Coy in line.
