It is worthy of note that 9 of these were Territorial soldiers, signallers from Territorial Training Reserve Battalion.
The regiment was placed at 2 hours notice to move.
The proposed night scheme was therefore abandoned.
1916 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – BERNEUIL
Battn in Billets. –
At 9am the Battn marched to ST LEGER LES DOMART – Starting from this place an attack on BERNEUIL was practiced.
