7PM. Commenced relief of 1/KRR (from ESTAMINET CORNER) F.6.c.4.9 in C.1 area:
24th Royal Fusiliers on Left in C.2.
A regt (1st Herts) of 6th Brigade on our Right.
2 Companies each found 2 Platoons to furnish garrisons for Islands 1-16 which at present forms front line.
Remainder of these companies in Billets in FESTUBERT VILLAGE.
Headquarters and 2 companies occupy breastworks of “Old British Line”.
Garrisons of Islands relieved every 24 hours.
Very quiet period, though enemy active, especially on 28th, at GIVENCHY.
Casualties: 3 men wounded.
Weather: Fine.
