9am – In trenches at CUINCHY A1 Subsection, taking over from the 1/South Staffordshire Regt (22nd Infantry Brigade).
Distributed as follows:-
A Company in Front Line just South of Bethune-La Bassee Road.
C Company in front line trenches from this road as far as Ridley Walks where 2/HLI continued the line.
Both companies had two platoons in front and two in second line.
B Company in Support in Praed Street and Marylebone Road.
D Company had two platoons in Cuinchy Support Point, one in Park Lane and one in Stafford Redoubt.
