On this day 21st December
1791 - 52nd - took part in the storming of Savendroog in India. Whilst the Grenadier and Light Infantry Companies mounted the breach the band of the regiment played “Britons strike home”.

Lieutenant Slade-Baker rejoined from attachment to 6th Infantry Brigade.
