The Regiment exchanged lines with 2nd Highland Light Infantry being then posted Headquarters and C Coy in TOMMY TRENCH, A, B and D Coys in the Kleeman Stellung.
1917 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – VILLERS FAUCON
4 Coys on working parties all day.

Spent in the area of Hassel
1945 - 2nd (Airborne) Bn, Oxf & Bucks LI - NWE Katzien
This morning early a complete company surrendered to us. They were burnt out of their positions last night, have few weapons, little ammunition & no inclination to fight. They are an Eisenbahn Pioneer Co. One woman in German uniform was with them. Today our village has been on one of the 5th Division axis & Americans are also all around us.
