The Regiment left Gyhum (0515) at 1340 hrs. in troop-canying vehicles and moved along the Reichsautobahn to the cross-roads at 316311, thence through Tostedt (3122), Trelde (3726), Liillau (4523), Jesteburg (4825) and Hanstedt (5220) to Quarrendorf (5322), which was reached at 1640 hrs. and where the Regiment moved into comfortable farmhouses before crossing the River Elbe.
1945 - 2nd (Airborne) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI - Nostorf 9438 Germany
D Coy in the lead, the Regiment marched unopposed via BUKHAUSEN to NOSTORF, arriving at about 0400 hrs. 196 P.O.W. came in during the day, or were rounded up in the neighbouring farms & woods.
