1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI - In trenches near RICHEBOURG L’AVOUE.
Two companies in trenches, one in Support in billets, one in reserve in billets. Some of the trenches very wet, about knee deep in water. Fresh trench to be dug in front here. No shelling on our part of the trenches. Casualties all caused by rifle fire from enemy’s trenches. Average distance from enemy’s trenches 300 to 400 yards.
