On this day 19th September
1857 – 52nd – during the engagements with mutineers from August 14th to September 20th the 52nd lost 1 Officer, 1 Serjeant and 25 men killed. 3 Officers and 82 men wounded. 98 men died of cholera and other diseases.

1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – LE PREOL.
A small preliminary Regimental Sports meeting held near Le Preol.
1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – LICQUES.
Whole Battn out on Brigade Exercise near TOURNEHEM.
Battn returned to billets about 4.30pm after about 9 hours work.
LIEUT TROUTBECK rejoined from 5th Army School.
