1812 – Light Division - Retreat from Salamanca continued; after a nights bivouac in flooded land, continued march knee deep in water.
1916 –2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI –MAILLY MAILLET to BERTRANCOURT.
The Regiment now began a series of marches, with a view to ultimately reaching the place of "Rest and Training";
The moves as under were effected without incident. A few men fell out but rejoined, on several days, but in view of the recent operations in my view the men marched excellently.
