On this day 14th March
1811 – 43rd and 52nd - Combat of Cazal Novo (Peninsula).
1900 – 1st Bn Oxf LI – marched into Bloemfontein. (Boer War)
1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI
During the 5 days that followed to midday 18-3-17 inclusive, the Regiment was employed in road making in 6 hour shifts daily as under:-
A and D Coys on the PYS – LE SARS Road.
B and C Coys on the WARLENCOURT – LE SARS Road except that on the 17th and 18th the whole Regiment worked on the latter.
1917 – 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – CAMP 56 (CAPPY-ECLUSIER RD)
Bn in Divl Reserve. –
All Coys resting.
2 Coys baths at CAPPY in afternoon.
Ration Strength 21 Officers 635 OR.
1917 – 7th (S) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – To DOLDZELL Trenches, D Sector (Salonika).
