1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI -CAMBRIN
Hohenzollern Redoubt attacked by the 46th Division with the aid of gas. The attack was not wholly successful. The 5th Infantry Brigade assisted by making a bomb attack a German Communication Trench. This attack did not make much headway and Lt Ramsay who had been attached to the 5th Brigade Grenade Company was killed.
1 Officer, 2 NCO’s and 24 men of the 52nd took part in this attack.
Casualties (10th –13th):Killed 2Lt Ramsay and 2 men.Wounded =Lt Ridout, Lt Mills and 2 men.
