1803 - Horse Guards' authority issued for 1st Bn. 52nd being called 'Light Infantry', the 2nd Bn to be separated and to become 96th Regiment of Foot.
1915 - 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI - LOCON.
In Corps Reserve.
1945 – 2nd (AB) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI - North West Europe
The 52nd followed up behind the Ulster Rifles through Wavrelle and Forrieres to Nassogne.
1950 – 1st Bn Oxf & Bucks LI (43rd & 52nd) - Arrived Famagusta (Cyprus) and disembarked
