1918 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – HERMERAIN / RUESNES.
During the night and early morning the enemy shelled the area of RUESNES with gas and high explosive shells, resulting in one man 7785 Pte Smith a cook of A Coy who had served during the whole war with the regiment, being killed, and one other man wounded.
Capt Cardy to hospital sick and subsequently evacuated.

Patrols sent forward again by front line battalions reached BOSCO – enemy apparently holding M. CATZ line but only weakly.
