Capt E H Whitfeld MC from leave in England joined the Senior Officer School, Aldershot (Instructors Course).

Battalion was relieved during the Morning by the 11th NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS (68th BRIGADE).
Coys marched on relief independently to FARA.
All Coys in Billets in FARA – S. FORTUNATO area.
HQers at FARA, A Echelon Transport at lines occupied by B Echelon.
Intense heat all day which was felt considerably by Coys after a month in the Mountains.
Relief complete at PRIA DEL ACQUA at 11.15am.
All Coys in Billets at 6.15pm.
CAPT P L WRIGHT and LIEUT A L BRIGHTMAN rejoined from Italian leave.
Ration Strength: 29 Officers 750 OR. Casualties: 1 OR to Hospital – Sick.
