7.30AM The Divisional Gas Officer began the inspection of the Box Respirators of the Regiment – and had almost completed them when the message to carry out the Test concentration to rendezvous “B” was received; this reached the Commanding Officer on the No8 Range, at 11.30AM the Brigadier-General and OC 24th Royal Fusiliers being there also by appointment.
The Regiment was ready to move forward complete, from its starting point on the ARRAS – DOULLENS Road by 1PM.
