1853 – 43rd - End of the Kaffir War.
1886 – 2nd Bn Oxf LI – Moved from Gibraltar to Egypt.
1918 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – METZ-EN-COUTURE. (France)
1918 –1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion - PINELLI & SALA DI CAMPAGNA.
Battalion paraded at 11am and marched to Billets at RONCHI and FOSSALTO.
A very Hot day and march additionally trying by the fact that Battalion had expected to go into Billets at PIOMBINO.
At this place the band of the 48th Italian Division turned out to play the battalion past.
Billets scattered but quite fair.
Distance marched 17 miles. No men fell out.
Ration Strength: 36 Officers 802 OR.
Casualties: NIL.
