1875 – 52nd – The New Valise equipment invented by General Eyre was taken into wear.
1889 – Oxf LI – Army Order 136 of 1889 contained the following:-
“In consederation of the services rendered by the Oxfordshire Light Infantry (2nd Battalion, late 52nd Light Infantry) during the campaign in Southern India, 1790-92, Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to permit the Regiment to bear the distinction of MYSORE on its Colours”.
1916 - Provisional Bn (1st).-with Kut Relief Force, at attack on Dujailah Redoubt. (Mesopatamia)
1918 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – METZ-EN-COUTURE.
Casualties: Wounded = 2Lt W H Seale (subsequently died of wounds) while serving with 5 LTMB.
1918 –1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion - BAVARIA. (Italy)

Battalion in Right reserve.
All very comfortable billets in houses.
Day spent in having baths and cleaning up.
