1876 – 43rd – The Depot was attached to the 53rd Regiment which regiment under the new system was linked with the 43rd and the Depots of the two corps were to be united as a Brigade Depot at Shrewsbury as soon as a barracks could be built.
1876 – 52nd – Under the same system the 52nd (Oxfordshire) Light Infantry was to be linked with the 85th Kings (Bucks Volunteers) Light Infantry with a Brigade Depot at Cowley.
