Notification received of the death at Portsmouth, at the age of 88, of a very fine old soldier of the Regiment, Colour Sergeant William Marks, 52nd Light Infantry. He served with the Regiment throughout the Indian Mutiny and was Colour Sergeant of Letter B (Capt.R.L. Crosse's) Company in 1868. He was one of the survivors of the Regiment of those who were present at the assault and capture of Delhi on Sept. 14th 1857, who were able to visit the Regiment at Tidworth on Sept14th 1907.
