On this day 21st December
1791 - 52nd - took part in the storming of Savendroog in India. Whilst the Grenadier and Light Infantry Companies mounted the breach the band of the regiment played “Britons strike home”.
1918 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – ROMMERSKIRCHEN & ECKUM.
Notification received that the Regiment would be in the present area for Christmas, so reconnaisances of the area were carried out with a view to more comfortably billeting HeadQuarters, B & C Coys. 48 Casuals rejoined.
1918 –1/1stBuckinghamshire Battalion – MAGLIO.

Ration Strength: 19 Officers 621 OR. Casualties: 1 OR to Hospital.
