08.45 – The Regiment marched via WEISMES to billets in WEYMERTZ, arriving about 12.30, and just before rain set in for the rest of the day. The billets were indifferent, as usual varying considerably: D Coy was billeted around the Station and Cross-roads 3/4 mile South of the Village. Forward of WEYMETZ the roads seemed bad, and the map was very misleading: this affords an example of where very careful reconnaissance by mounted officers was necessary.
