1799 – 52nd – War Office authority to raise for the first time a 2nd Battalion for the 52nd.
1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRAI SECTOR
D Company relieved B on the night of the 3rd/4th.
1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion - AGUGLIARO.
Bn paraded at 10.55am and marched to BOSCO DI NANTO (about 10 miles N of AGUGLIARO). There was a long halt in the middle of the day for dinners at PONTE BARBARANO.
Bn arrived in billets about 4.30pm.
All Billets Good.
HQers in excellent Chateau.
Blankets were carried by lorry.
Ration Strength 43 Officers 844 OR
Casualties NIL
