1837 - Consequent on the disturbed state of Canada, 43rd received orders to proceed by land from Fredericton to Quebec.

1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – In Trenches CUINCHY B1.
8am – First companies moved off preparatory to taking over the trenches in B1 Sub section in relief of 1/Queens Regiment.
4 Platoons of 24th Royal Fusiliers attached for 24 hours for instruction.

1915– 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – HEBUTERNE
Battalion in Trenches.
Relieved by 6/GLOUCSTERS about 3pm.

1839 - The 52nd at Barbados, suffered much from an epidemic of yellow fever.

1914 - 1st Bn Oxf & Bucks LI reached Camp Magil, above Basra, and disembarked. (Mesopatamia)

1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – BETHUNE.
11.30am – The Glasgow Highlanders relieved the Regiment in this area today.
To billets in Rue d’Aire area.

1915– 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – HEBUTERNE
Battalion in Trenches.
Quiet day.
2/LT YOUNG took out 1 man on patrol to enemy’s wire, getting useful information as to distance apart of sentries.

1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – To Trenches at CUINCHY.
Enemy very quiet, a few trench mortars at intervals.
The same companies returned as complete Companies on 2nd and 3rd respectively and relieved our Front Company (Left) for duty in the line.
Very wet weather and very difficult to keep pace with the repairs required.
2nd Lieutenant STRICKLAND to course at 2nd Division School, BETHUNE until 17th December.

1915– 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – HEBUTERNE
Battalion in Trenches.
Some Shelling.
More Rain.

1915 - 1st Bn Oxf & Bucks Lt Infty with remainder of 6th Division, reached Kut. (Mesopatamia).

1915 – 2nd Bn Oxf & Bucks LI – To Trenches at CUINCHY.
Enemy very quiet, a few trench mortars at intervals.
The same companies returned as complete Companies on 2nd and 3rd respectively and relieved our Front Company (Left) for duty in the line.

Lieutenant D A D SEWELL to duty at No2 Infantry Base Depot at ROUEN.
2nd to 10th – 2nd Lieutenant G A GATTLEY 4th Dragoon Guards attached for instruction in trench duties.

Battalion in Trenches.
Good deal of shelling all morning on both sides.
The Germans sent 4 eight inch shells into the KEEP & many Little Willies.

1776 - 52nd left New York with expedition to Rhode Island.

Enemy very quiet, a few trench mortars at intervals.
Four platoons (one company) of 17th Royal Fusiliers attached for 24 hours.
One Platoon did duty with each of our companies.
Lieutenants A G CARDY and G FIELD posted for duty with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.

Battalion in Trenches.
Trenches in bad condition after rain.
