For over ten years now I have been visiting the battlefields of the Western Front of both world wars.
During this time one of my pet projects was to endeavour to vist all of the cemeteries and memorials to the fallen of my family regiment the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
Thus far I have amassed nearly two and a half thousand photographs of individual headstones, in addition I have also photgraphed the regiments panels on the memorials to the missing and can usually pick out individual names.
I have mainly covered France and Belgium so far and by no means believe that I have visited all the memorials but what I have done I would like to share as I know that many people are unable to visit the memorials for themselves.
If anyone would like a copy of a particular headstone photograph please drop me an email with as much detail as possible and if I have an image I will email it on.
