1810 - Battle of Busaco; Pte. James Hopkins, 52nd, in this action took prisoner the French General Simon.
 
1872 – 43rd – Embarked at Queenstown and sailed for Cannanore East Indies.
43rd Depot was left in Cork attached to 2nd Bn 7th Royal Fusiliers.
 
1917 – 2nd Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – CAMBRIN.
2Lt W H Seale on completion of his period of 3 weeks instruction with 5th Light Trench Mortar Battery was retained for a further period.
 
1917–1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion – LICQUES to CANAL BANK (Ypres)
Battn moved at 2am & entrained at AUDRICQUES Station.
Entraining complete by 7.30am.
Arrived & detrained at BRIELEN about 12.30pm.
Marched to CANAL BANK in rear reserve to remainder of Bde who took over front line during night.
Transport travelled by separate train, detraining at PESELHOEK station.
Transport moved to Camp just behind REIGURSBURG CAMP, & QM Stores to MARSHES FARM.
Ration Strength 24 officers 512 OR.
