A Monthly Sports meeting, events serious and comic, was held, and very much enjoyed by everyone.

Quiet Day.
Rain began to fall in the Afternoon and continued heavily all night.
At Evening Stand To fresh positions were taken up, the number of Coys in the Line and of Platoons on Outpost being reduced in each case to two.
B Coy was withdrawn from Front Line into Right Reserve.
Reconnaissance Patrols went out from A & D Coys during the Night, but could do very little owing to rain and intense darkness.
Everyone practically wet through before the Morning.
Ration Strength: 29 Officers 699 OR Casualties: NIL
1944 – 2nd (Airborne) Bn Oxf & Bucks LI
At 2256 hrs on the 5th June (D minus 1) the six gliders carrying the coup-de-main party of Letter D Company and two platoons of Letter B Company with attached Royal Engineers and other attached personnel took off from RAF Tarrant Rushton and crossed the Channel in company with an enormous fleet of heavy bombers on one of their usual raids.
1944 – 1st Buckinghamshire Bn - leaves marshalling camps and embarks at Southsea and Gosport
