1885 – 43rd - Commencement of cholera epidemic in the 43rd at Quetta, which in a few months decimated the Regiment.

The Regiment carried out practice Field Operations in the vicinity of Berles-au-Bois.
Captain Blagrove commanded the Regiment from Zero Hour (12 noon) to conclusion of Operations. D company (Captain Eagle) represented the enemy.
