1944 – 2nd (AB) Bn OXF & BUCKS LI – Normandy:-
Embarked from the Mulberry harbour for home with thoughts of leave in our minds.
During the advance to the River Seine the Regiment suffered the following casualties:
Killed: 1 officer and 5 soldiers. Wounded: 42 soldiers.
1957 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
Major-General D. A. Kendrew, C.B.E., D.S.O., visited the Regiment.
The last platoons were judged in the inter platoon drill competition, which was won by the M.T. No. 2 Platoon commanded by Captain A. S. Payne.
1958 - 1st Bn OXF & BUCKS LI (43rd & 52nd) – CYPRUS.
Major P. E. Gerahty rejoined the Regiment and was posted to Letter ‘A’ Company.
2nd Lieutenants E. J. H. Acton, J. G. C. Goodwyn and M. Whitfeld joined the Regiment and were posted to ‘B’, Sp and ‘C’ Companies.
Sjt Kettle and 15 R. and F. joined the Regiment as reinforcements.
1959 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – JELLALABAD BKS, TIDWORTH
A cricket match versus Somerset Light Infantry was won by one wicket.
1965 – 1st GREEN JACKETS (43rd & 52nd) – MONTGOMERY BKS, BERLIN.
